Please read this Privacy Policy statement and continue using Artur services only if you understand and agree with everything stated herein.
It is our duty to protect the privacy of Artur service users. We handle every piece of information you provide with the utmost care and security. We are bound by the legislation of the Republic of Slovenia, particularly the Personal Data Protection Act, which defines the rights, obligations, principles, and measures to prevent unconstitutional, illegal, and unauthorized interference with an individual's privacy and dignity during the processing of personal data. Participation in research is voluntary and free of charge. Authors or researchers may not obtain any information about you without informing you in advance. Users incur no costs for participating in the research.
The Privacy Policy is part of the Terms of Use, which you must be familiar with if you continue to use Artur services.
This Privacy Policy defines the relationship between:
The Provider recognizes the importance of privacy protection and operates in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-1) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR). Furthermore, the Provider follows the recommendations and best practices of the 'ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market and Social Research' and the 'ESOMAR Guideline for Online Research'.
The Data Controller is always the author or researcher of the survey on the websitewww.artur.com. The Contractual Processor is the company Cohortem d.o.o. (the Provider).
All data provided by you as a User in your responses to survey questions are collected and stored as anonymous data, unless you voluntarily disclose any personal data within the survey. If you choose to do so, you do it with the awareness and understanding of the risks and possible consequences. We urge Researchers not to include questions that capture personal data (name, address, email, etc.) in any way.
The Provider is not the controller of personal data collections that Users voluntarily share within a survey onwww.artur.com. The Provider does not determine the purposes of processing personal data disclosed in surveys created by Researchers. The Provider only offers the infrastructure for conducting online surveys.
IP addresses are added to the data entered by Users during the completion of the questionnaire. IP addresses are recorded for the purpose of counting responses.
If you were invited to submit responses via email by a Researcher for feedback purposes (e.g., purchase made, branch visit, etc.), the Researcher may link your survey responses to you via an identification datum (e.g., purchase number or loyalty card number) and their internal systems (e.g., purchase database). Your personal data will not be stored in the Artur database (unless you enter it into the survey questions yourself).
Only the survey editor and persons explicitly granted access by the author have access to the separate list of IP and email addresses. All mentioned persons undertake to use this data solely for research purposes, not to publish or transfer it to third parties, and to protect its confidentiality.
Exercise of Individual Rights Regarding Personal Data
The User has the right to request: access to personal data, rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, as well as the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. An application to exercise these rights can be submitted:
For the purpose of reliable identification when exercising rights, the Provider may request additional data and may only refuse the request if they prove they cannot reliably identify you.
Individual/User Rights
To exercise these rights, the User should contact the Data Controller (the Researcher). If the User believes their rights have been violated, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner.
The Provider uses all personal data obtained through Artur services lawfully and fairly. Data is processed only for the purposes for which it was provided. The purpose includes preparing survey analyses, rewarding users (prize draws, coupons), and accessing portal functionalities.
Certain anonymous information is recorded automatically (demographics, referring websites, browser type, and IP address). This is used for internal research, service improvement, statistics, and security.
The Provider will not disclose personal data to third parties unless the User explicitly consents. In cases of contractual cooperation (maintenance, hosting, etc.), third parties will only have access if they commit to the same level of data protection.
We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to protect data. Personal data of registered users is kept only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
Only the Researcher and authorized persons (including technical support) have access to data collected by a specific research project. Access may also be granted in cases of suspected legal violations (e.g., police investigation).
The Researcher may use the obtained data exclusively for research purposes and not for direct marketing or sales. The Provider reserves the right to use collected data in an anonymized form to optimize the service and prepare quality analyses.
Legitimate Interests
Processing may be based on legitimate interests, including:
Automated Decision-Making
Artur does not perform automated decision-making or profiling as defined in Article 22 of the GDPR.
The Provider ensures procedures to protect personal data collections, including:
The Researcher must ensure compliance with national laws regarding the surveying of minors. In Slovenia, minors under the age of 15 must obtain parental consent before completing a survey. For those over 15, parental consent is not required. The Researcher must do everything in their power to ensure responses from minors are included only with appropriate consent where required.
Artur stores data until the purpose of collection is fulfilled. Data is collected during the research process, meaning data from Users who did not complete the entire survey is also stored.
By participating in a research project, the individual confirms they understand and agree to this Statement.
